Changes in Pricing w.e.f 1 May 2015

Dear all, 

We would like to highlight that there had been some changes to the pricing listed on our FAQ page for new bookings with rental dates starting May 2015.

For rental bookings confirmed, the previous terms and conditions conveyed will still hold.

A Most Memorable Proposal!

Before most weddings can happen, this usually has to happen first, namely, "THE PROPOSAL"! 

Though the manner it is conducted may not be the deal breaker in whether wedding bells will eventually ring, a well-thought out and romantic one by the guy or girl (c'mon, it's the new era!) will definitely bring about fond memories for years to come and vice versa for that matter.. 

Flowers and a diamond ring are usually de rigueur in most proposals but this particular romantic guy decided to go one step further for his special girl by renting a most special vehicle, our Sunshine to be part of the surprise on that day ;) 

The planning and preparation spanned over a course of a few months and culminated in a most heartwarming proposal and of course, a "YES"! Look at these lovely pictures :)

Sunshine at lobby of PanPac Hotel!

It was so exciting to see our Sunshine at the lobby of PanPac hotel last Saturday evening! Yes!! Right inside the hotel! Just like the F1 cars that were on parade there previously ;) And this is all thanks to the good people at Evo Communication (https://www.facebook.com/Events.EVO) who invited Sunshine to be part of a retro theme D&D their client is having there.

The process of getting Sunshine inside though, is a pretty exercise by itself, at least for the driver ;) Due to the lack of that wonderful modern technology, power steering, several tries were required for Sunshine to get its two front wheels precisely onto two thin ramps to get up the lobby step. But up it went nonetheless!

After the step up, all it takes was a slow, careful maneuver to get Sunshine in the front door and onto the red carpet that was all rolled out for it! And "drum roll" its show time! Here are some pics of the event.

Note: Checked with the driver and he said with the experience, he is very confident that it will be much easier next time round, so any more such requests out there??) :)

Pre-wedding Photoshoot at Lorong Halus

It has been one of the longest dry period I could remember in Singapore. The weather is so dry that everywhere looked so parched. All the grass is now a sorry brown color and the trees are just shedding away..

Despite the dry and hot weather, one lovely couple and their good friends decided to brave the elements for a pre-wedding photoshoot with Sunshine at Lorong Halus and it turned out to be jolly great fun! The camaraderie among friends shone right thru which will make the photos even more memorable in years to come. This place is also a first for Sunshine and surprisingly, it looked right at home in this environment. Have a look ;) (disclaimer, these are taken with my lousy iphone camera and the ones taken by the professional should be much much better!)

Valentine Special!

Scratching your head over THE Valentine day's program and looking for something special for that someone special? We reckon Sunshine would be a good option ;) Imagine showing on her doorsteps with a chauffeured retro VW bus and a bunch of roses before whisking her away to a favorite restaurant.. That would be a great Valentine memory to cherish for years to come.

Updates Jan 2014!

A very Happy 2014 to all!

A quick update on Sunshine; it had worked hard for all last quarter of 2013 and beginning of Jan 2014 what with all the driving and posing with all the lovely couples AND, still managed to steal in time for a quick annual check (don't worry, doc gave it a clean bill of health ;)). Given that it had worked so hard, Sunshine will take a well-deserved break starting 31 Jan and services will resume on 8 Feb 2014. Enquiries and emails will still be replied to during this period.

We would also like to give a heads-up to potential clients that there will be a slight upward adjustment in our packages and rates starting 1 February 2014 on account of rising operating and maintenance cost. Everything has gone up in price! However, please be assured that despite the adjustments, we are still fully committed to provide the best service and value for our clients.  The changes will be reflected in our Rental FAQ page on 1 Feb itself.

Existing clients who had confirmed their bookings will not be affected and those who make their bookings prior to 1 Feb 2014 will still enjoy the existing published rates.

New Wedding Car Decor Items!

A short post to update on some new wedding car decor items available for customers who hire Sunshine as their vintage wedding car. This is just a small part of our stash of new items that will be made available in the near future ;)

We had brought these beautifully handmade wedding decor items back from our last trip to Germany. It was a chance encounter that brought us to this unique shop in Salzburg and really couldn't resist buying these lovely things.  These and helium balloons are now available as add-ons (a small fee applies) for both our actual wedding day customers or as props for photoshoots. 

In addition, we now provide both fresh and faux floral car decor services for our customers. Will be posting more on these but in the meantime, do email us for details if required.

Junaidi & Gwyneth's Lovely Wedding

Jun & Gwyn's wedding is as lovely as they come. The day was sunny and surrounded by the blessings of their love ones (some of whom flew down specially for the event), they celebrate their union as husband & wife.

Our best wishes to Jun & Gwyn, may your days together be filled with love and Sunshine :)

Busy Wedding Weekend!

Sunshine has had a busy weekend with back-to-back weddings to attend. Though busy, the boy looked like he had thoroughly enjoyed himself, basking in the attention given ;)

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the two couples, Marcus & Qijia and Shawn & Dewi for letting Sunshine be part of their big day.

Marcus & Qijia's wedding has a happy balance of tradition and fun that is a very endearing combination which both satisfies the elders' requirement to maintain traditional customs and yet remain a fun and unique event for the guests (take a look at the carnival dressing code for the brothers & sisters which Sunshine look just at home in).

For Shawn & Dewi, their solemnization ceremony is a formal and romantic affair which touches the heart. And though Sunshine's participation is relatively short, it added a casual and fun vibe to the event which we opined, showcased the couple's fun loving nature :)

We are back!

Time flies and it has been "gasp" a week since we came back from our Germany trip!  It has been a really fun trip with all the good food, automobile museums, shopping (for the wifey) and most importantly, good weather (sunshine with little or almost no rain barring the last two days of the trip)!

What particularly struck me during this trip was the dedication the Germans has towards automobiles, as proven by the various auto museums and can you beat this, a whole theme park devoted entirely towards automobiles!

This theme park, "The Autostadt" was conceived and launched by Volkswagen to create a unique location where knowledge, culture, art and design could be shared in a natural location. In the Autostadt, there is a museum which chronicles the history, development and future of automobiles, different art and cultural events dedicated to a different theme each year, fun activities for the children and many good restaurants! This huge theme park, which also serve as a delivery centre for VW cars (wouldn't it be great if we have one in Singapore too..) is located in Wolfsburg, next to the main Volkswagen plant and we think, well worth a visit if you were to go Germany.

Hihi, just a small note to say that we will be away for the next two weeks till end August to where Sunshine is born, Germany! As such, please pardon us if replies to emails are a bit tardy during this period ;) 

June Wedding Updates!

Hihi!

Time passed really fast and its being more than a month since our last update on this blog.. June had been a super busy month with both business (preparing for the start-up of a floral business, we will be able to provide floral decor for Sunshine and other cars soon, keep tune ;) and personal commitments (more on this next time)...

Moving on to Sunshine,  it has had two weddings in June! One Malay and one Chinese, both beautiful and touching :) One is vintage/retro inspired whilst the other modern but both fun with Sunshine adding on just the right amount of uniqueness and focal point.
